Major Success by Our Faculty of Engineering in TÜBİTAK International Researcher Support Programs
Our Faculty of Engineering has achieved a significant success in the international researcher support programs administered by TÜBİTAK. A total of five projects prepared by the Departments of Geological Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, and Mining Engineering within our Faculty have been awarded funding under TÜBİTAK’s international researcher support programs.
Under the TÜBİTAK 2232-A International Leading Researchers Program, two projects have been awarded funding. The first project, to be conducted in the Department of Geological Engineering under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Orhan KARSLI and Prof. Dr. Hady Shafaei MOGHADDAM, will be led by Prof. Dr. Osamu Ishizuka. The second project, to be conducted in the Department of Geomatics Engineering under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Yakup Emre ÇORUHLU, will be led by Prof. Dr. Hosein AZADİ.
Under the TÜBİTAK 2232-B International Fellowship for Early-Career Researchers Program, two additional projects have been awarded funding. One of these projects, to be conducted in the Department of Geological Engineering under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Orhan KARSLI and Prof. Dr. Hady Shafaei MOGHADDAM, will be led by Dr. Murat Taner TAMER. The other project, to be conducted in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Temel VAROL, will be led by Dr. Deniz ERİŞEN.
In addition, under the TÜBİTAK 2221 – Visiting or Sabbatical Scientist Support Program, a project to be conducted in the Department of Mining Engineering under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Ferdi CİHANGİR and led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Davood Fereidooni has also been awarded funding.
These projects, which will be carried out across different departments of our Faculty, will make significant contributions to attracting highly qualified researchers from around the world to our university, fostering international scientific collaborations, and strengthening our research capacity.
