Members of the BIOBLACK Project team recently participated in the 7th National Marine Sciences Conference, held in Ä°zmir from May 13–15, 2026. The conference served as a key platform for presenting the latest advancements in the monitoring and management of the marine ecosystem in Turkish waters.

Representing the Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ) team, our researchers introduced the BIOBLACK project and its mobile application for marine species identification and monitoring. The presentation highlighted the project’s integrated approach to enggaged citizen sciences in marine conservation.
