The Department of Maritime Business Administration of the KTU Sürmene Faculty of Marine Sciences was established in 2011.
The purpose of establishing our department is to primarily meet our country's need for qualified workforce in line with the future needs of the maritime industry. And to train "Maritime Business Proffesionals" who are qualified to work in businesses that carry out maritime trade activities all around the world.
It is the training of qualified workforce who will work in the offices of businesses operating in the field of maritime trade; plans, organizes, leads and contols for the most effective and efficient use of money, equipment and manpower resources of the businesses and the competitive operation of the ships, supervises the operations, and ensures the connection and organization of the ships' cargo and passenger movements.
