Our University’s Quality Assurance Commission recently hosted a Quality Assurance System Information Meeting, chaired by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI.

The meeting brought together administrators and Quality Commission members from all academic and administrative units. Lecturer Ali Haydar DOĞU, Rector’s Advisor for Strategic Planning and Quality Assurance, gave an insightful presentation on the latest activities of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK), accreditation data, areas for improvement in our University’s Institutional Accreditation Report, and how the “Action Plan for the Turkish Higher Education Vision Toward 2030” connects with our Quality Assurance System. Asst. Prof. Dr. Ebru AŞIK, a member of the Quality Assurance Commission, provided a detailed look at the 2024 Quality Report prepared by all units, highlighting key findings and opportunities for growth.

In his remarks, Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI praised the ongoing efforts to strengthen and internalize the University’s Quality Assurance System. He highlighted the importance of stakeholder participation, student involvement in decision-making, recognition of prior learning, and program accreditation across all levels. He also emphasized the significance of the new KALPER application, which helps administrative staff manage strategic planning and quality initiatives within their units.

Rector ÇUVALCI reminded participants of our University Strategic Plan goal “Deepening Quality!”, noting that progress will continue to be carefully monitored and evaluated. The session concluded with a lively Q&A, giving participants the chance to discuss ideas and ask questions.

Over the past 18 months, the Quality Commission has introduced an AI-supported analysis model that goes beyond traditional report reading. This approach produces richer insights that can guide future strategic decisions. We sincerely thank all Quality Assurance Commission members for their dedication and voluntary efforts over more than a decade, and we wish them continued success in their work.
