The Molecular Biology and Genetics (MBG) Department of Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) achieved significant success in performance evaluations conducted within the scope of the 2025 Strategic Plan. With a performance score of 65.38%, the department ranked 4th among all departments in the university and 2nd within the Faculty of Science.

The department, which has shown remarkable progress over the last three years, saw its performance score rise from 9.67% in 2022 to 65.38% in 2025. The 36% increase from 2024 to 2025, in particular, demonstrates the department's strong progress towards its academic and strategic goals. With these results, the Molecular Biology and Genetics Department has made a significant contribution to the overall success of the Faculty of Science and has become one of the prominent departments in the strategic plan.
