a) Priority order in placements:

 It will be done according to the exam scores in Group A defined in Table-1, B if there is a vacant quota, and C if there is a vacant quota.

b) In case of equality in placement scores, placement is firstly done according to the secondary school GPA (for A and B groups), and in case of equality again, placement is made in order of preference. In case of equality at the end of these, the younger candidate is preferred. (for group A B and C)

c) Online temporary registrations will be accepted between August 05-14, 2024. In order to complete their online temporary registrations, candidates must pay the 2024-2025 academic year fall semester tuition fees. (Except for students who graduated from the high schools listed in this title and those who will study Turkish Language Preparatory)

d) 2024-2025 tuition fees are determined by our University Board of Directors, taking into account the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette every July and published at https://www.ktu.edu.tr/oidb/uluslararasiogrenci. (In case of temporary registrations before the publication of the Presidential Decree, candidates will pay the tuition fee for the previous year. However, after the 2024-2025 tuition fees are announced, the difference will be collected from the students.)

e) If more than one student from the same family continues their education in state higher education institutions, a 25% discount is made on tuition fees, provided that the student and his/her family have a residence permit in Turkey.

g) Undergraduate/Associate degree 1st Year Common Compulsory English Course Exemption Exam (for students of departments without a preparatory class) will be held on 02 October 2024 (13.30).

h) Karadeniz Technical University Turkish Proficiency Exam will be held on September 11, 2024 at 14:00 Türkiye time.

ı) Candidates are not required to upload their Equivalence and Turkish Proficiency Documents during the provisional registration process. They can submit their Equivalence Documents to the International Student Office by October 21, 2024 at the latest.

Documents to be uploaded for Online (Temporary Registration):

1. Equivalence certificate proving that a secondary education equivalent to a Turkish high school has been completed, if any (Those who are Turkish citizens and completed their secondary education abroad and those who graduated from international schools in Türkiye that are not affiliated with the Ministry of National Education will upload it.)

2. Document showing at least B2 level Turkish level, if any (it will not be required for students who graduated from high schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Turkey and students whose program languages are 100% English and Russian).

3. Financial Status Declaration Form (to be uploaded as a single PDF) issued with an internationally valid Financial Status Certificate (bank account statement, etc.) stating that the student has the financial means to continue her higher education.

B. FINAL REGISTRATION

a) Students who have completed their temporary registration must bring the originals of the following documents to the International Student Office of the Student Affairs Department by October 21, 2024 at the latest and complete their final registration. Students who will take the Turkish Proficiency and English Preparatory Class Level Determination and Proficiency (Exemption) Exams must complete their final registration procedures before the exam dates.

b) Student candidates who will definitely register; The residence permits of those who reside in Turkey or the visas of those who come from abroad to enroll in our University will not expire, and those who come without a visa will not have their legal stay in Turkey. Otherwise, definitive records will not be made.

c) For students who will issue a passport, keeping their passports valid longer will be in their favor during their residence permit period.

d) Students who cannot come to our University for final registration will be able to complete their final registration with a notarized power of attorney.

e) It is necessary to obtain a Seafarer Qualification Health Report for final registration to the Maritime Transportation Management Engineering (30% English, undergraduate), Marine Machinery Management Engineering (undergraduate) and Marine Machinery Management (associate degree) Programs, and a Seafarer's Wallet is required to complete the internship of the Program.( Seafarer wallets, which are documents that replace passports, can only be used by citizens of the Republic of Türkiye, or citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus who have received and/or graduated from maritime education in the Republic of Türkiye or the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, or It can be given to foreigners of Turkish origin within the scope of the Law No. 2527 dated 25/09/1981 on Foreigners of Turkish Origin being able to practice their professions and arts freely in Türkiye and being employed in public, private organizations or workplaces. As foreign citizens, students who are/will receive education in maritime-related associate and undergraduate programs at higher education institutions in our country have the right to take the proficiency certificate exams as a result of the maritime education they have received, and training certificates can be issued in accordance with the training they have received. However, seafarer's wallets cannot be issued to foreign nationals. Foreign nationals must request a seafarer's wallet from their country of citizenship. Accordingly, since some countries do not give female students Seaman's Wallet , it would be in their advantage to learn from the relevant authorities of their own country before making their choice whether they can get the Seaman's Wallet.)

f) Student candidates who are placed in the Pharmacy Program are required to bring a Health Report along with their registration documents during final registration, stating that they do not have any illnesses that would prevent them from completing their Pharmacy education.

Documents to be brought for final registration:

1. Passport or Identity Document

2. Exam Result Certificate

3. Secondary Education (High School) Graduation Certificate.

4. Document Showing Secondary Education General Grade Point Average (Transcript)

5. Blue Card (Candidates who have renounced Turkish citizenship and received a blue card will upload it)

6. Population Registration Sample (Candidates who have renounced Turkish citizenship and have not received a blue card and have dual nationality will be brought.)

7 Citizens of the Republic of Türkiye who completed their secondary education in an institution providing formal education abroad and candidates with dual nationality whose first nationality is the Republic of Türkiye must submit a document showing that they have been in the country where the diploma was received during their high school education or that they entered and exited this country (certified passport or police records).

8.If available, an equivalence certificate proving that a secondary education equivalent to a Turkish high school has been completed (Those who are Turkish citizens and completed their secondary education abroad and those who graduated from international schools in Türkiye that are not affiliated with the Ministry of National Education will bring it.)
