A study visit was conducted in Batumi to discuss the results of the sampling activities carried out over a one-year period. The primary focus of the meeting was a detailed evaluation of the sampling results from the Çoruh Valley. Findings related to litter, macro- and microplastic pollution, as well as heavy metal contamination in sediments, were thoroughly assessed. Potential areas for additional investigation were also identified. Relevant photographs are provided below. Prof. Dr. Kadir Seyhan and Assoc. Prof. Yahya Terzi participated in the event.
