Sampling Study
After completing the data collection preparation phase of our ongoing CareSea Project, we conducted our first seasonal sampling study on December 12, 2024 (yesterday) in the ÇaÄŸlayan Valley of Fındıklı, Rize. We are searching for microplastics both in the water and in the sediment, and we are also detecting macroplastics (human-generated waste). Our next step will be to develop management strategies for the region and share them with local authorities.
