Mechanics is the branch of science that studies the conditions of equilibrium and motion of bodies under the influence of various forces. The science of mechanics holds great importance in human life today, as it did in the past. All movements in nature, from the flow of water to the flight of airplanes, from the operation of machines to many technologies that facilitate our daily lives, occur according to mechanical principles. The science and principles of mechanics are indispensable in all engineering disciplines, especially in Mechanical and Civil Engineering.
