Osman Turan

Prof. Dr. Osman Turan Special Awards

Osman Turan Awards include special awards to be given to the students of KTU History Department by the family of the late Prof. Dr. Osman Turan through the Turan Foundation. These awards will be given regularly at the end of each year. They will be given to students who graduate from the department as first, second and third, taking into account their grade point averages at the end of seven semesters during the academic year. There are two important considerations for the presentation of the award: The student must not have received any disciplinary punishment during the education process and must not have violated the ethical rules.

The awards were given for the first time to the graduates of 2023-2024 and were presented in the form of a laptop for the first, a tablet for the second, and a smart watch for the third.
