Stanford University has published the latest edition of the World's Most Influential Scientists list through Elsevier by using 2025 data. This year, 32 KTU academics were included in the Career-Long Impact category and 39 in the Single-Year Impact category.

The annual list recognizes researchers across 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields, based on indicators such as standardized citations, the h-index, hm-index, composite score (c-score), and citations adjusted for author position.

32 KTU Academics Recognized for Career-Long Impact

KTU was represented by 32 academics in the Career-Long Impact category, with the majority coming from the Faculty of Engineering. Researchers from the Faculties of Science, Forestry, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Marine Sciences, Pharmacy, and Medicine also earned a place on the list.

39 KTU Academics Recognized for Single-Year Impact

A total of 39 KTU academics were included in the Single-Year Impact category. The Faculty of Engineering had the strongest representation, alongside researchers from Science, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Marine Sciences, Technology, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Sürmene Abdullah Kanca Vocational School.

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI, congratulated the academics named on the lists, emphasizing that their achievements reflect the quality of research conducted at KTU and its international recognition. He also reaffirmed the University's commitment to supporting research and expanding its scientific contributions.
