Our students, Yusuf AKSU and Halil KAYA from the Software Engineering Department of our university's Of Faculty of Technology, were awarded First Prize with their project, "Moka Guardian," at the "FinTech Hackathon: Hack the Idea" competition, organized at the Moka United Technology and R&D Center in Istanbul through the collaboration of Moka United and Coderspace. A total of 401 teams from across Türkiye applied to the competition. After advancing to the top 30 teams and subsequently qualifying for the final round, our students emerged as the champions in the final stage of the competition.

The AI-powered system developed by our students analyzes user behavior during payment transactions to detect unusual activities and provide warnings against potential fraud risks. Designed particularly to help prevent fraud attempts carried out through social engineering techniques, the project stood out for its innovative approach and strong focus on creating social value.
