The 5^th Traditional Forestry Games, organized by the Turkish Foresters' Association, took place at the Gölbaşı Ata Farm in Ankara between 17 and 19 July 2026, bringing together forestry students from across Türkiye in a highly competitive event. With the participation of 12 Faculties of Forestry from universities nationwide, the competition showcased the knowledge, skills, and determination of the country's future forestry professionals. The competition featured seven challenging categories: Orienteering, Log Rolling, Tree Species Identification, Wood Stacking, Log Crosscutting, Team March, and the Combined Event. Demonstrating outstanding knowledge, practical skills, and exceptional teamwork throughout the competition, our University's Faculty of Forestry Team achieved remarkable success. By earning one of the highest overall scores, the team secured third place in Türkiye, bringing great pride to our university. Representing our university with distinction, the Faculty of Forestry Team consisted of Sinem Özdemir, Musab Seven, Umut Bahadır DemirtaÅŸ, Esra KaramehmetoÄŸlu, Melisa BaÅŸpınar, Tahsin Zeybel, Sinem Kırmızı, and Emre Sargut, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sedat Ondaral and Research Assistant DoÄŸan Canbolat.
