The International Conference on Civil Engineering and Architecture (ICEARC’25), hosted by our university, was held on May 17, 2025, at the Osman Turan Culture and Congress Center. The event was attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI, prominent administrators and protocol members, long with many academics, students, and invited guests.

In his opening speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI emphasized the conference’s contribution to KTU’s internationalization vision. In addition, Rector ÇUVALCI underlined the primary role of universities in educating qualified students and producing useful knowledge. He also stressed the importance of keeping up with technological advancements and pointed out that integrating academia with technology can yield highly positive outcomes.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Can ALTUNIÅžIK, Chair of the ICEARC’25 Organizing Committee, stated that the conference would address critical contemporary themes such as sustainable structures, digital design processes, smart cities, energy-efficient building solutions, advanced concrete technologies, and hybrid structural systems. In addition to academic sessions, the conference featured various workshops that enabled participants to engage in practical knowledge exchange.

Held at our university from May 17–19, 2025, ICEARC’25 drew attention with its rich academic content and strong international participation. Throughout the three-day conference, academics, researchers, and industry professionals had the opportunity to share and discuss the latest developments in architecture and civil engineering.
