The Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at our Faculty of Engineering has achieved a remarkable success in the first term of the 2024 TÜBÄ°TAK 2209-B – Industry-Oriented Research Projects Support Program for University Students.

A total of 13 projects prepared by our students under the guidance of academic and industry experts have been selected for support by TÜBÄ°TAK.

With the highest number of supported projects, our Department has ranked first among all Metallurgical and Materials Engineering departments across universities in Türkiye. This significant achievement reflects the strength of our academic staff, our student-centered project culture, and the effective collaborations we have built with the industry. By combining scientific research and industrial applications even before graduation, our students are being trained as well-qualified engineers ready for the sector.
